Global Switch makes two senior Appointments

Global Switch, the leading owner and operator of wholesale and
multi-tenanted, carrier-neutral data centres in Europe and
Asia-Pacific, has announced two new senior appointments.
Paul Hohnsbeen has been appointed Group Chief Operating Officer
and joins the Global Switch Executive Committee. Yves Tavernier has
been appointed Managing Director in Paris where Global Switch is
currently constructing a second major data centre, Paris 2, on an
adjacent site to the existing data centre. The new centre will
provide more than 17,000 sq m of space over six floors with a base
power density of 1.5kW/m2 (with the flexibility to be adapted for
high density environments as required). Together the centres will
create the city's leading data centre campus with in excess of
50,000 sq m of space.
Paul Hohnsbeen has extensive experience in global data centre
design, construction and operation. He has more than 30 years'
experience in the property sector, 15 of these years in commercial
mixed-use design and construction and 15 years within financial
services corporate real estate, where he delivered significant data
centre and trading floor critical systems reliability improvements
and new builds. Paul will have global responsibility for the
operations, development, and technical/construction activities of
the Global Switch group.
Yves Tavernier has both technical and sales experience and most
recently was General Manager of the UPS division of Chloride
France. He brings to the group extensive knowledge of critical
services and business continuity. His focus at Global Switch Paris
will be to ensure the smooth running of Paris 1, and to deliver and
market Paris 2, Global Switch's latest development which will offer
one of the largest floor plates and highest power densities in
France.
