  • 90% of companies that lose data from a disaster are forced to shut down within two years

  • The cost of service disruption for a typical financial institution is between €60,000 and €250,000 per minute (Hitachi Data Systems)

N+1

We design and operate our data centres on a N+1 basis. This means we provide one standby unit in addition to the normal (N) operational requirement.

Where one primary mains power feed is normal, we’ll provide two separate feeds: where one standby generator unit is required, we’ll provide an additional backup.

N+1 minimum is standard across our critical service systems and equipment, including:

  • primary HV power
  • generators and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
  • A&B electrical switchboards
  • chillers
  • pumps
  • air handling equipment
  • fire detection and suppression

Our commitment to the N+1 philosophy underpins resilience, minimising the risk of business disruption.
