Power

Data centre resilience depends on diverse and durable supplies of power. We design our facilities to minimise the risk of power failure and be responsive to individual power requirements. Even during prolonged blackouts, we’ll always keep your critical IT systems up and running. Standard features include:

  • primary HV power provision
  • LV switchboards for power provision to the room
  • 800 watts/sq m power for a typical data room
  • on site sub-stations
  • standby generators with a minimum 24 hours autonomy at full capacity
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
  • sufficient fuel on site to run for days, together with priority re-fuelling contracts
  • planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • process oriented engineers and on site controllers available 24x7

To deliver optimum protection, we’ll work closely with your IT team to identify and meet your individual power needs. You can find site-specific power features in our Locations section. But other key features include:

  • customer power cabling and containment in colocation or shared suite spaces - to customer design where required
  • power surge management
  • power consumption metering
  • critical Service Level Agreements (SLA's) on power provision
