Nie Wei joined the Board of Global Switch as a Non-Executive Director in August 2019.
Mr Nie is a senior equity investment director, with more than ten years of experience in private equity investment. He has participated in and led over 50 investment projects and other transactions with a total value exceeding RMB 100 billion (£11.3 billion). Currently, Nie Wei serves as a director of Strategic IDC Limited and is the director of Jiangsu Shagang Group Investment Holding Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Shagang Group Co. Ltd. Nie Wei is also chairman of the board of directors of DOTO Futures Co., Ltd, and director / investment committee member of various privately owned financial institutions and investment organisations. Prior to joining Shagang Group, he worked at China Construction Bank from 2006 as a senior manager in the risk management department. Nie Wei graduated from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law having obtained a master degree in Finance.
