Global Switch’s London campus, comprising two data centres – London East and London North – is located just 0.5 miles from the financial district and close to the city centre. The campus lies adjacent to the main international fibre routes and importantly has direct access to two major subsea cables (Atlantic Crossing 1 and the West African Cable System).

  • Europe’s largest purpose-built data centre campus, with 90,000 sq m of space
  • A state-of-the-art data centre environment at the heart of connectivity-rich Docklands, with access to an abundance of carriers and cloud providers
  • Flexible solutions available with the ability to provide bespoke power deployments in excess of 2,000 W/sq m
  • Planned expansion of the campus providing an additional 29,000 sq m of space and additional power of 14MVA for upgrade of existing facilities

Connectivity

With the largest internet capacity in Europe and currently a first choice location for hosting and cloud service providers, financial firms, digital entrepreneurs and technology innovators, London Docklands is one of the most network dense locations in the world. The benefits of Global Switch’s carrier and cloud neutral status and such low latency has attracted a diverse range of network providers, giving organisations access to a broad choice of connectivity partners and services.

Infrastructure

Our London customers benefit from economies of scale and superior levels of resilience, with London East supplied by the largest private high voltage network in the UK, as well as a direct connection to the national grid’s 132kV network. The campus features multiple layers of redundancy, state of the art cooling systems and 24x7x365 security.
